My Statement on Trump’s Executive Order on Mail-In Voting

On Trans Day of Visibility, we honor the strength and dignity of trans New Yorkers. Visibility must be matched with action. I’m fighting to include my bill the Gender Affirming Care Fund (S7924A) in the final state budget because the trans community has been targeted for far too long.

Taxing the rich is about investing in our communities. It means affording housing, healthcare, childcare, groceries and the baseline of a dignified life for New Yorkers. That’s why I introduced S9189 alongside @dianaforqueens.com, to make sure corporations are paying their fair share.

The AI race shouldn’t come at the cost of safety. Anthropic’s walk back from core safety measures is dangerous & not at all aligned with “public accountability.” We need strong, enforceable AI regulations that protect people, not internal promises that change with market shifts.
