There is no safe level of lead exposure. Stories like this one make it all the more infuriating that our elected officials want to cut funding for lead service line replacement.

In the long run, this is just going to raise bills for people who cannot afford them.

It's all connected: “It is no secret that expanding gas infrastructure is directly tied to the data center build-out ... And that is because these facilities just use an exponential amount of energy.”

Water is a human right, period. These funding cuts violate that right.

We're going to go ahead and guess that the EPA leaders behind this decision would not want to drink water contaminated with coal ash, but they're fine forcing it on other people.

This is a quick answer: the AI industry is a *massive* threat to our planet.

The region has already faced unfathomable damage from the fossil fuel industry, but the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has the nerve to claim that this expansion "is protective of human health and the environment.”

We're glad to see New Jersey take another step towards requiring fossil fuel corporations to pay for the damage they cause. It's common sense and the right thing to do!

Even the companies that own these plants acknowledge that it doesn't make economic sense to repair and operate them!
