AI is increasing productivity by giving us all a bunch of stuff to fact check

I am very sympathetic to the grads booing Eric Schmidt but I also don’t think it’s the all-out grassroots rejection of AI by the young that many people seem to think. See: use of AI for essays, companionship, therapy. That isn’t going away.

Birth rate discourse is like “It turns out if you give women more choices, they’re less likely to make ones that make their lives harder.” Which is really helpful in figuring out how we can improve society somewhat. But instead people are like wow giving women more choices was a mistake
