One more rough day to go. Coming back home tomorrow and can’t wait. I just want to be back to normal and all. Wondering if I will feel better going back home, not sure if this is allergies or a cold still but feel less than perfect. Just want to feel better, both physically and mentally!

Bleh, can’t wait to get back home but can’t leave till after Tuesday. Between my stomach not feeling too well, missing @whitepaw.bsky.social, and mostly having nothing to do here I’m really wanting done with this all. Just really meh atm. :/

Really wish we had a better water source at our house to be able to have irrigation like this (at my folks place atm). Heck, this would do the whole yard in one go! Very jealous!

Went to the Big E fair today it brought back memories from when I was a kid which was nice but is not the same anymore. Just seems more commercialized now and less farmy. Was nice to get out but just not the same.

My mom passed today. It was coming (was in hospice) so is not a shock but still very sad as she was an awesome mom and I will truly miss her. Now to head up north in this crappy weather, will be a slow, miserable trip so sure I will reflect a bunch and think about the good times.

Another tough day of feeling sick with a head cold but hoping I’m at the halfway point. Did check for covid but it tested negative so just a cold but Urgh, hate being sick. Mainly nasal congestion that makes sleep only happen for less than 1 hour. Hoping tomorrow is better!

So stayed a few days past the end of the con to go to Epic Universe and Discovery Cove. Epic was mobbed and not too wonderful though Discovery Cove was awesome and relaxing! Sadly last evening I felt sniffly and today seems like I got the con crud. Long trip home today!

Will say that it seems like this @megaplex is all a linecon this year. Was going to get checked in for the night market but after hearing it was a 1 hr line checked out of it 45 minutes later and couldn’t even see the end. Now standing in an hour line for the pool. :( otherwise fun.

While I never met him in person he was always very sweet with responses and very personable. I will miss you @bradhound.bsky.social may you rest in peace my friend. :(

Well we made it folks! Last half hour of the drive was through some pretty crazy rain going like 30 mph but settled in and had dinner and now ready for sleep as this morning was an early day. Tomorrow we go see Mickey!

While not millions of peaches, quite a little haul off the two dwarf trees in back. Also a big bowl of raspberries and the last pick of the blueberries. Lastly is some of the fruit leather we been making in the dehydrator before cutting into strips. Yum yum yum!

Bit sad. Packed up all my work computer stuff to take to the office tomorrow to turn in as our contract ends. Been there over 10 years and at a previous contract for just as long. Just never like change and was decently happy. Oh well. :/

The before, during, and after of mowing the overgrown area on the other side of the garden area. New brush mower works great though still more to do but was crazy hot out. Now I just need to hit the area with roundup so it doesn’t grow back up right away!

So yeah got a new toy today. A replacement for the old one we have that broke and was too expensive to fix. Took down a few thicker poplars (maybe 2.5 inches diameter). Definitely more horsepower than the old one. Fun tool to use!

A lot of work but constructing beds for my greenhouses for easier growing. Will line them with plastic and screen on bottom so the dirt doesn’t wash through but should be easier growing stuff in there now. The blue is just some insulation we had that I repurposed.

Having a lifelong mental illness can be a lot to deal with. You shoulder this feeling of being broken, unfixable, undeserving of love. Finding meds that only reduce your bad symptoms but not all your emotions can take a while and be tough. And of course.. feeling like you won't die naturally.
