Unless we change the voting system, we will see this at the next general election as well. With votes split across five or more parties, power can be won on as little as 25% of the vote. This needs to be a wake-up call.

There needs to be a drastic appraisal of the voting system. A party winning power with 75% opposed is not a recipe for a peaceful country.

I blame sections of the the media class for failing to relay to the electorate all the good work underway. I also blame some of the electorate for having unrealistic expectations around delivery timeframes.

Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong government with Proportional Representation, or chaos with First Past the Post.
