I agree with what the Pope is saying about Trump, and standing up to him. At the same time, I can't help but think that manipulating religion for economic, military, and political gain is inherent in religion, and always has been. Trump isn't the first, but is one of the most vile and transparent.

You always have to pay attention to what is actually happening, not what Trump says is happening. Because Trump lies about everything. Too often media serves as Trump’s daily stenographer, passing along his propaganda verbatim.
