The ad on the left side was kinda funny but the ad on the right side wasn't great in ways that I won't repeat because so many others have said it but because it helped reinforce the stereotype that video games were just a male hobby..

This was definitely a favorite screensaver of mine in the 2Ks! It was especially neat seeing it playing on multiple monitors during the time when I actually used to like Best Buy.. 😅💜

I'm never going to put my home arcade cabs into a public arcade. If ever make one of those it'd have full size commercial arcade machines. TBH I think home arcade cabs as much as I like them should be reserved for the home.. I don't care how large my collection gets!

One thing I didn't like about the decades I've lived in the past is the limited colors of lighting that was used. Especially when it was clinical looking or just a bad color and tempurature. It could make a place look depressing or bleak.

Soylent Green is getting a 4K blu-ray remaster! I don't know if it's getting an audio upgrade though... Previous remasters all had monaural sound only which is the OG mix AFAIK AFAIK this is also the first film to feature an arcade cab in a scene and it's the first video game one Computer Space!

Just a reminder that you can download the entire Neo Geo romset in an hour and emulators for it have been basically perfect since the DOS era. You can run Neo Geo games on anything with a processor and input/output ports.
