Here's an alternative screensaver to the random arcade attract mode one I have setup on my Raspberry Pi 4.. This one shows historical/retro game and toy videos that I've made sure display properly on the 4:3 CRT!

This is what I've been saying and thinking for a long time even if people around me were against it!

Basically in nerd heaven. Brought my Space Invaders purse too.

There's definitely something that's not to my tastes in classic gaming but to each their own.. Playing classic games with raw pixels. I know some people have opposite tastes to me but I highly prefer them to be either on a CRT or filtered with CRT pixel shaders so they look more like I remember!

This sideart on the Atari Road Runner arcade cabinet is well designed and cute IMHO and if I had this can I'd want it in there! 😃💜👍🏻🕹️

IMHO it's possible that current video sound mixing particularly at big studios is done in 3D and matrixed to unfold to height channels or output to one or more of the immersive audio formats like Atmos, DTSX or Auro3D!

People criticizing Starfleet Academy for having a female presenting Gem Hadar are too rigid in their thinking.. They are in the 32nd century in that show.. There's probably been a lot of advancement in biology especially for a species that is artificial and needed change to keep thriving

There should be a ROM hack for Pit Fighter that's similar to the Street Smart ROM hack for Final Fight that lets you play as any character! I want to play as Angel! Seen top left here..

I liked the first episode of Starfleet Academy more than I thought I would. I'm not a huge fan of the newest uniforms but everything else is great especially the interior design Star Trek has had impeccable interior design and I like what I'm seeing here especially with the Japanese influenced motif

One thing I like about Starfleet Academy has trees aboard the Starship.. Reminds me of the faux cherry tree I have in the Kama Arcade! 💜☺️🖖🏻🕹️🌸

An interesting thing about rewatching Star Trek TOS 1x22 Space Seed these days is in the 1960's, the 90's was about 30 years in the future and in the show it was in the past but now it's in the past for both the show and IRL haha A lot of people would speak of the 90's as being long ago too!

When I was younger I took beige computer gear for granted and it was out of fashion to me but now I'd like to bring it back like I'd like to even paint my flat panel monitors that color especially the ones that are used as computer monitors and are out of warranty, 😅💜🖥️

It's really sad seeing people.. often gay men claim they want to "divorse" the TQIA from LGBTQIA because they have a beef with the T and have fallen into the same sort of prejudice that the worst people have.. They also claim to be conservative

With this style of retro mechanical keyboard it's easy to see how grody a keyboard gets under the keys.. I cleaned it as best as I can short of removing all the keycaps first.. 😅💜🖥️

There's lots of good responses to this and I'd also add that a person might deep down want those things and may eventually pursue them but they may not have fully come out to themselves or others because of extreme prejudice and lack of information and even contact with other queer people.

Another cyberpunk film with a wonderful Dolby Atmos track is the original Ghost in The Shell movie from 1995! It's well mixed to make use of the additional overhead channels! Such a pleasure to listen to this film especially with the OST remixed in Atmos and things like helicopters flying overhead.

Do what now? TBH I'm glad I was never a Mr. Beast fan nor have I ever bought one of his endorsed products!! 😝😧

For those who haven't seen it here's the CRT TV setup with a Raspberry Pi 4 in the Kama Arcade and the set of controllers available to use with it. Spoiler Alert: I tend to use the 8bitdo Neo Geo CD controllers the most..

I totally tend to just shut off the attract mode sounds in the arcade so that they don't have to be heard while I am doing things like watching videos but I wouldn't mind if they were all like Atari Primal Rage and offered separate volume control for the attract mode and game mode..

I didn't realize Terry Farrell was The Cat in the failed Red Dwarf USA pilot! This makes it cooler but I don't think it works as an American remake. I've watched it and most of the characters were terribly miscast starters entirely missing the point of them and the tone was lost in translation IMHO

TBH I'm over wanting HD remasters of 2D games like Mortal Kombat 1-3.. I'm just totally fine with playing them in SD either on a CRT or CRT filtered. Especially since at this point a lot of remasters fans make are AI generated and totally replace the graphics making them look like different people.

I think where I work may have hired too many people because we have to sign up for shifts in their app but they go way too quickly like as fast as I can refresh the app they are gone and nobody seems to drop them anymore... ugh..

Predator Badlands is an interesting entry in the Predator series because it features the company from the Alien series but no aliens designed by Giger.. it also has no actual humans in it just extraterrestrials and artificial people!

This is one of many films where I like to have the best quality available for it! I'm not sure it's available in 4K yet though I have it in 1080p. I really like this take on The Time Machine and I like everyone in it especially David Warner as Jack The Ripper!
