i'll post this one. i've not done this in a while. Note the capture with my knight in front of his king. i will win a queen off this but only because they moved their rook like that. Instead i should have captured with my rook. which my knight would have guarded. and then its mate with my queen.

In my defense the way i did the attack instead of mate in two won me their queen, but still! i should have seen it!

Chess is funny because you can feel good about a win in the moment and then look at the review and go. "Ohhhhhh i'm dumb as fuck"

Lunchtime chess was a fairly simple win as black using the trusty Caro-Kann Defense. I won 2 pawns and then traded down to win via checkmate on move 40. Of course looking at the game review i had a mate in 2 all the way back on move 19. Us low levels like making it hard by you know not looking.
