I love the Community Loaves project!

Last December I started channeling my anxiety about the world into baking and delivering lasagnas to community members in need. As of tonight, between @lasagnalove.bsky.social and my local Buy Nothing group, I have brought 100 lasagnas to my neighbors!

Lasagna Love will keep showing up, one meal at a time. Because even when the systems bend, kindness will not break.

What a great project! We need more of this in our lives!

National “Pay It Forward Day” is coming up on April 28th. A day dedicated to performing acts of kindness for others without expecting anything in return.

A few months ago, I started volunteering to make and deliver homecooked meals through @lasagnalove.bsky.social. The habit stuck, and it’s been my best outlet for channeling my feelings of anxiety and helplessness about the world. Tonight I delivered my 50th lasagna to a neighbor in need!
