super glad this came up on my feed - this website is cool as hell!! found an org where you can volunteer to make lasagne for hungry folks in need ( @lasagnalove.bsky.social ) so I signed up to cook once a month (the kind of commitment a slug like me can handle lmaoo).

I used Lasagna Love earlier this year after we had a loss in the family. I didn't have a financial need, I just wanted a home cooked meal and the feeling that someone cared. The lasagna ended up being delivered the same week my brother lost a close friend, and I shared the meal with him too.

I love the Community Loaves project!

Last December I started channeling my anxiety about the world into baking and delivering lasagnas to community members in need. As of tonight, between @lasagnalove.bsky.social and my local Buy Nothing group, I have brought 100 lasagnas to my neighbors!

Lasagna Love will keep showing up, one meal at a time. Because even when the systems bend, kindness will not break.
