Braised a pot roast with carrots and onions (and garlic, rosemary, thyme, bay leaves, beef broth) all day whilst in Webexes, the house smelled glorious. Whipped potate, reduced the jus. Easy peasy, warm in my belly.

Short rib grilled cheese! We make this one at least once a month. Braised the short rib for 6 hours in caramelized mirepoix, red wine, and beef stock. We usually reduce the jus for dipping but it was too greasy this time after we strained out the veggies. Still delightful.

I’ve been determined to get to a higher veggie ratio when we cook. This is my most favorite way to eat veggies, stir fry on the Blackstone, hibachi style. I still have the hot sauce recipe from my favorite hibachi place of all time, so I made a fresh bottle! Makes good leftovers, too. #saturdaynight

Great week with the Hypershield incubation team in San Diego!! It’s always so lovely hanging with folks you get to work with from all over the world but rarely see in person. We’re a small team doing big things!! Ready to be home with my bearded better half and doggos. 😊

Smoked a brisket and whole chicken for a client meeting today, and they ate ALL of it. 😂 Fair exchange, as they let us go an hour over our allotted meeting time, the discussion was so lively we just kept going. Good and productive day. Love me some whiteboarding with a side of smoked meats!

Sometimes when stressed out, cooking helps! Simmered the meat sauce for 3 hours, and we are both fully on the bechamel train. Delicious. ❤️
