Too often modern slavery and human trafficking, not exactly the same things, go unnoticed because authorities are focused on them being "immigration crimes". Too often victims aren't supported, especially if they are migrants where they are more likely to be penalised than protected. 2/4

This is one issue on which Corbyn was wrong. We couldn't expect a Corbyn government would have done better. He was one of the first to float tied visas to address the loss of agricultural labour force which would inevitably follow Brexit. Why are all factions of Labour wedded to a worker subclass?

Tied Labour visas inevitably lead to exploitation because exploited workers cannot escape bad employers without losing their visa rights. It’s a Brexshit “benefit” in contrast to the freedom of movement & employment from which workers coming from other EU states benefited.
