Let’s spell this out. Trump fired a qualified U.S. attorney who refused to do his bidding and installed his own personal lawyer to punish a perceived opponent. Justice needs to follow the law, not politics. This is an attack on the rule of law. Full stop.

There was an ICE raid in Newark, NJ today. Nothing new. These targeted raids have been happening regularly for yrs. 33 non-citizens were nabbed in Newark last Oct when Biden was prez. The difference? Trump puts a camera on the raids. Why? To get Americans to think he’s doing something new. He’s not.

Anyone else as frustrated with the types who claim there were two equally bad choices in the election? What does it take for them to realize Trump was by far the greater risk and evil for America? It irks me as much as MAGAs.

The reality is that for many of us, who are from a traditional, religious, culturally conservative background, the world has irrevocably changed from 2016 until now. The things we thought were solid turned out to be but shifting sands. I feel like a stranger among my own people, most of the time.
