Many medical supplies are manufactured outside of the US. I would buy additional KN95, N95 and KF94 masks now, as well as any medical supplies you regularly rely on. Even basics like bandages, Aquaphor, medicated lotion and pimple patches. Order that stuff asap.

Wow hello! A quick intro about me: I was radicalized in climate movement (mostly grassroots direct action anti-oil pipeline organizing in Great Lakes) & civic journalism in Chicago. Trying to apply that analysis and skillset to ongoing COVID pandemic.

This is a hard thing we are all going to be navigating. It's important to become a sustaining donor to (esp grassroots, BIPOC-led) orgs on systemic injustice. Also important to support indie creators and collectives. There is enough, somewhere. Abundance, not scarcity, is the way through.

So I'm in the process of looking for a new therapist, and a big thing is dealing w/ covid anxiety (and yes, turns out revolution is the only way but for now I gotta learn breathing techniques etc) and uh the first therapist I met was like, "but wasn't covid basically just a new flu strain?" h'oh boy
