Even Elon Musk's self-evaluation on his job at DOGE is poor.... meanwhile his company gave him a trillion $$ compensation package. No matter how much he screws up, he seems to get rewarded more. I think a different set of rules apply to him.

Last night's RTVE show (Spanish public TV, kinda like a huge PBS) was all about children dying in Gaza. The host said they're being murdered. Then the 11pm news talked about the EU revisiting it's relationship with Israel. I know this should but be shocking, to hear truth on media, but it is.

10 years ago I moved back to Seattle and joined up with some incredible people (many whom I'm still collaborating with) to protest Shell's arctic drilling. I was not brave enough to get in a kayak and try to block this monstrosity. Later that year Shell pulled out of the artic due to "risk."

Every time I talk to a reporter about the #teslatakedown protests I get asked about vandalism/violence. The Tesla protests I've been to are getting more festive each week. This is Rumeysa Ozturk. I feel chills looking at her, wondering where ICE has taken her. Since Elon's tweet about me I've feared getting picked up like her. But I (still) have some level of protection as a citizen. But for how long? Being here on a visa doesn't mean you have no rights.

This is the op-ed that Rumeysa Ozturk co-authored that is the basis for her getting snatched off the street by mask-wearing undercover ICE agents and sent to a detention center in Louisiana. This is the United States now. Publicly disagree with authority and you get disappeared.
