TUS to city centre coming along nicely. Lots of users even though it is still being built. Protected junctions are taking shape at Hassetts Cross.

Am a city bicycle commuter. Accidentally clipped a wing mirror while moving slowly, stopped to apologise and driver waved me on, no damage. But I patted the wing mirror as if to say "there, there" for some reason.

There's some level of exceptionalism here -- in fairness, you can see it in reports elsewhere, so it's not just Limerick councillors at it. But Dublin councils have been publicly streaming and making recordings available for years, why do they think their constituents should have less transparency?

Some of the 3,000 or so bikes at Borussia Mönchengladbach's 55,000 capacity stadium on Saturday. In Limerick we have zero bike stands at the Gaelic Grounds, Thomond Park or the Markets Field.

Congratulations to David Attenborough -- who spent his free time as a teenager riding his bicycle around England's East Midlands region searching for fossils -- on his 100th trip around the sun. One of his secrets? "If I can bicycle, I bicycle." Happy

Walking in Thomondgate today I came across some beautiful street art. The first shows children cleaning up the area and the second honors the generations of men who made their living from the river. Painted by Splatter and Sufre as part of Limerick’s extensive Street Art Trail 👏👏

Nice to see that new wee park open today at the junction of Limerick’s Roches St and Parnell St. As it’s now the closest park to where I live, I feel honour-bound to say that, in a housing crisis, if Limerick Council had decided instead to build a few flats there, I’d also have been fine with that.

Along with riding 1,000 miles in 7 days in 1934, London to John O'Groats in 4 1/2 days in 1935, and 10,000 miles in 100 days in 1938, Evelyn Hamilton's exploits include ferrying French Resistance fighters across Paris on a tandem during World War II.
