I think it is often-overlooked that these devices are *great* for developing in BASIC. There's emulator-like saving and loading of tape images and snapshots of course, but esxDOS is well integrated with BASIC and provides native mass-storage commands too, so it feels really authentic.

Still one of my Saturn favourites, I bought Steep Slope Sliders in Dixons in Kirkcaldy (rip to a real one, press F, etc). I was buzzing with hype about it from Sega Saturn Mag (❤️“F”) and read the manual two or three times on the bus home. Played it to death and spent hours in the replay editor. 🏂✌️
