Yesterday I posted about some soldiers’ medical records now on FMP. As a historian of women in

I tried a search. Over 500 women’s names came up. I cross checked the 1st name on the national archives and found a 123 page record and it is amazing. Hilda Mary Lascalles JENNER. Deeply affected 1/2

I was never able to conclusively determine where Jack Pairos, identified in this 1936 article as a "man without a country" was born. It is likely that he himself didn't know, which is how he evaded being deported from the UK. 1/7
