It's been some time since I did a photo/painting, so here is the springtime backyard as the days begin to bring color again. Original pic on left and as a painting on the right. Gideon's Pond is in MY backyard and looking out this cottage's door toward the house and pond on a sunny day is wonderful.

The yard is starting to wake up and it's time to start making it pop again. The space is Gideon's Pond. The kitty is Bleu. He was a recent rescue who we thought we were giving a comfortable place to pass over the winter but he pulled through and became a friend.

Areas I've been exploring this week! First one is Brookside Pond, a hidden little gem tucked away in a forgotten neighborhood one block south of 101st and Foster Rd. Then Wells Fargo Bldg downtown PDX and Johnson Creek near 72nd street. Fun travels on the bike this week!

I found a wonderful urban treasure on my bike ride yesterday. Near the western terminus of Portland's Springwater Corridor bike and foot path, I spied this series of paintings on the base of a huge cell tower. Stephen Cutler seems to be the name I read on the base. Great Artist!
