This is one of the most quietly revolutionary things any city can do to improve kids' lives & outcomes. If you genuinely care about kids having access to education or safe after school spaces & activities, then fund your libraries, staff your libraries, & make every public school ID a library card.

Given the argument that ended the VRA, I think it’s time liberals did some self reflection about the now decades long obsession with partisan polarization as the problem, as opposed to authoritarianism, extremism, oligarchy, and racism

The attack on the Voting Rights Act & its potential domino effect is certainly a direct attack on Black political power but it also may be a death blow to the casual freedoms of white liberals. Because it is our votes that offset the votes of the ones trying to take your liberties; your cousins.

That billionaires flex their outsized & immediate access to our public servants for petty grievance as compared to how prohibitively difficult such feats are for those with real material needs only serves to demonstrate why all we produce among the proletariat now are knife sharpening hobbyists.

The term "Renaissance man" used to be a compliment because acquiring skills actually required doing things. And the neuroplasticity "refined" the individual. Now rich ppl just use slop machine and go "I'm such a Renaissance man" as they solicit the slop egregore.

There is a path. It’s the path that Michael Vick walked. He has worked with the Humane Society for the last 17 years to educate folk about animal cruelty. He says he’ll do that work for the rest of his life. Call me when Louis or Kanye devotes even one weekend to making reparation.

Constitutional lawyer here. I don't think it would violate the Constitution for the VP/Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment, but the intended constitutional remedy for this behavior is impeachment & removal. The fact that that remedy is politically impossible is a scandal and a crisis.

Wow this war we've already won that we didn't need to get Congressional approval for because it's not actually a war against a country that was two weeks from getting a nuclear weapon that it will never have because we destroyed their nuclear program last year is really going badly today.
