I'm going ice skating tomorrow. I was once a pretty good skater. I did a LOT of rollerskating & ice skating as a kid, and then rollerblading later. Haven't really done it much (maybe once?) in the last few decades. I hope I have muscle memory. 😅 Olympic ice skating has inspired me. ⛸️

Okay so this may be a bit edgy for public consumption, but isn't my poodle adorable? The toy is called 'hunky reindeer' and I must say hello to him, no matter where I am sitting. 🤣

Interesting find of the day: this male #Mallard with an obviously injured beak. I just posted on a wildlife rehab group to see if he needs any sort of help. I assume no, because the injury looks well-healed and he looks otherwise healthy. Anyone have any ideas what could have happened to this guy?

Went on a little brunch date with hubby today. We finished by going to the harbour and looking at birds, with a stop in a playground on the way. Here is my very serious husband operating a digger. We had fun. 😀

Exciting part of my day: just as the light was fading and I was thinking it was time to head home, I happened upon a slime mold! My camera sucks, but these little blobs are VERY adorable. The little red dots are about 1mm across. iNat had no clue, but if any of you #fungi or #lichen people want to weigh in? This was taken on a decaying bigleaf maple branch in the PNW. From a distance it looked like tiny dark red spots.
