Donald Trump is so determined to discriminate against trans people that he would issue an executive order threatening funding for hospitals and health centers that provide care for every American just to bully transgender children. Disgusting. I will not stop fighting to protect trans rights.

Current internal battle: Should I be terrified of Trump on main, or should I recognize that pretending like he has powers he does not have helps to grant him those powers.

Not to be bleak, but does anyone else find it hard to stay motivated when facing federally sanctioned eradication? Grad school is hard enough without staring down the barrel of a metaphorical gun.

Occasional reminder that there’s no, “it’s too late, its over” for anthropogenic climate change. Every molecule of CO2 that doesn’t go into the atmosphere makes a difference. Preventing 0.1 degree of warming makes a difference. Every bit of climate resilience we build together makes a difference.

It is so sinisterly illustrative that the GOP can take the house, senate, presidency, a majority in the supreme court to last decades, and yet still be totally fixated on destroying the lives of a handful of teenage trans girls as if it were a matter of national security.

The amount of irrational hate of trans people from otherwise educated, informed people I know just shocks & saddens me to no end. It's so deep-seated & visceral. They can never point to one time, ever, that a trans person has ever hurt them. The power of ignorance and right-wing fear-mongering.

Here's the thing about trans people and echo chambers: We don't have 'em. We're all experts on the anti-trans side, their arguments, their petty bigotries. The same is not true in reverse.
