The average Canadian can consume less fuel too. Walk, bike, use transit. Maybe trip chain a bit more. We don't all need to be addicted to consuming fossil fuels.

Public service says a pilot is best, residents say a pilot is best, the price of a pilot is way cheaper and the timeline is faster. AND YET the City council says no,. let's wait and do the permanent solution... in 2027. What could be the reason?

Putting the cart before the planning horse. "From a city perspective, there is a good tool to enhance awareness â a pilot project. If city council wants to pursue a strategy for Wellington that can engage in robust discussion....the best way to do that is by reinstating the pilot.

"These reductions translate into dramatic improvements in survival rates, with the chance of a pedestrian surviving a collision rising from about 10 per cent at 50 km/h, to 60 per cent at 40 km/h, and 90 per cent at 30 km/h." 30% increase in survival is more than enough to consider 30 not 40 kph.

Proposal to reduce Winnipegâs default 50 km/h speed limit advances. We need to keep our eye on the prize. 30 kph is the true "safe speed." It is true that âit takes⌠seconds more to go 40 versus 50." Is also only takes seconds to go 30 as well.

city councillors who are both well beyond the Best Before Date. you know this council isn't used to an engaged and informed segment of the citizenry, holding them accountable, when they resort to name calling.
