Surprisingly decent morning on Lytchett patch in continuing unhelpful weather. 5 Goosander were first of the year. Bar Wit, Green Woodpecker and Bullfinch all notable. CR head starter Curlew and Wigeon up to 530 (in the 90's they were almost a rarity here!)

I religiously enter eBird data. I am a scientist by profession and eBird makes me feel I am adding to the data available to todayās scientists to progress our knowledge. It has helped me engage with my birding in many ways that were not possible during my previous birding period in the 90s.

As a county bird recorder I can honestly say that the best and easiest way for you to make your birding count, is to upload them to either eBird or BirdTrack. Doing so contributes directly to

and bird

at both local and national levels.
