C.J.Henderson was an absolutely amazing dude. I saw him at conventions a few times. The man had a love of the craft and a love of stories that was immediately evident and positively infectious. He made me excited to read not just his work, but all kinds of other works as well. I miss him.

Just watched "Night Patrol". Pretty good stuff. Good enough for that it's legitimately aggravating that it's not better. Good cinematography, good sound, and some great performances, let down by some questionable screenwriting and directing choices. Still... 6/10. Worth a watch or two.

I have a friend who said, of Starfleet Academy, that this took them out of it - that seeing a person in a wheelchair in the 32nd century seemed unrealistic, since medicine in Star Trek "should be able to cure whatever was wrong with them." That's not the case, for any number of possible reasons.
