Season 5 of the boys was a real mixed bag, tainted by the prescence of an IDF soldier doing a awful accent (as all seasons are) but it's at least a bit better than 4, which isn't saying much. I love the smaller moments and thematic bits, hate the toilet humour undercutting those beats.

I wasn't sure about Sam Cambell replacing Aaron, but the bit in the new episode where he almost asks an audience member what they'd say to Benjamin Netanyahu fucking broke me.

Listen I have zero interest in a Black sails remake. It didn’t fuckin need one, game good, maybe ACs peak. But removing most of the modern day stuff is what did it for me. It’s maybe the best outside of the animus sections outside of Brotherhood, my favourite AC game.

I have now beat Pragmata. Game good. I do think the final boss and “villain” are underwhelming. Honestly think the game would be better without an antagonist. Watched the secret agent cause other than new game plus, I’m done I think.

I've also played a bit of Vampire Crawlers. First run had me worried, but once you unlock more cards that up the complexity, the game sings. Feels like a solid translation while also bringing a lot new to the table. Feels fresh.

About to enter what I'm pretty sure is the final area of Pragmata. The character writing is fantastic, the plot is dog shit. There's a end of act 2 "twist" that most are gonna see coming a mile away but even then it doesn't feel earned. I feel like I must have missed an email that gave context.

I’m really happy Pragmata blew up, but I wish the same had happened for Path of the Godess. Also has a gameplay loop that mixes genre, also is super weird but fun, massive 7/10 that’s someone’s 10 energy (mine). Just a special game that fell through the cracks a bit.
