Today, my first bill, the Sexual Violence Policy Act, passed committee stage and third reading. We are one step away from it becoming law. This legislation strengthens protections against sexual violence on public post-secondary campuses, so campuses across B.C. can become safer for all students.

Canadian provinces, including Ontario, Alberta and BC have experienced an increase in extortion crimes in recent years. I’m asking Prime Minister Mark Carney and his government to take action to designate groups engaged in extortion and related crimes as terrorist entities under the Criminal Code.
