Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing: BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors. AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company. That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

BC has billions in shovel-ready projects ready to go. Instead of real jobs for our province, the BC Conservatives are standing up for themselves, infighting and Alberta politics. We’ll continue to ignore the noise and deliver for this province and country.

Most parents don’t work 9-3 and may end up scrambling to pick up their kids after school. We’ve introduced legislation that, if passed, would allow school districts to offer seamless child care before and after school, on school grounds.

BC is leading 🇨🇦 with major opportunities to deliver prosperity to all of Canada. We have billions worth of private sector & First Nations led projects, that are ready to go and will create thousands of jobs. Alberta’s fictional bitumen pipeline achieves none of these things.

The Bishnoi gang has terrorized people in our communities, using violence and extortion. BC was the first to call on Ottawa to list them as a terrorist entity back in June. This move gives authorities powers to freeze and seize the gang’s assets and keep our streets safe.

People deserve to live in safe communities, and people with complex mental health and addiction issues need dignified care close to home. At UBCM, we announced that we are working to open more involuntary care beds across BC, with new sites in Prince George and Surrey.

Congratulations to the new leader of the BC Green Party, Emily Lowan. I look forward to meeting with Ms Lowan and finding common ground to get results for people in BC.

My message at NYC Climate Week: Look to BC! Our clean energy means we can produce the lowest carbon energy products anywhere in the world. While clean tech is chased out of other places, they are welcomed in BC. We are ready to do this work while bringing prosperity to BC and Canada.

Heading to Kamloops this morning to celebrate the expansion of the Highland Valley Copper mine. This is a project of national significance that is going to provide thousands of well-paying jobs for British Columbians as our province becomes the economic engine of Canada.

Surrey is one of the fastest growing regions in Canada. That’s why we’re building more infrastructure south of the Fraser, faster. People in Surrey will get better access to the services they need, while providing more jobs for British Columbians during construction.

The temporary foreign worker program is failing to prevent abuse and exploitation. The federal government needs to take action. We need an immigration system that protects workers from exploitation, and gives people hope that everyone can build a good life in British Columbia.

BC produces the best value-added wood products in the world. I joined our Minister of Forests, @rparmarbc.bsky.social, at the Global Buyers Mission in Whistler to promote BC products to buyers and manufacturers from around the globe.

Our system right now is a race to the bottom that hurts our young people, rewards bad actors, and pits people against each other. We can do better.

We all want our kids in modern and safe schools — that’s why we’re building new classrooms across BC. This fall, we welcomed 3000 students in new spaces. We doubled our commitment to Clayton Heights Secondary in Surrey with 1000 new seats – the largest expansion ever in the Surrey school district

Visiting Mangrove Lithium’s new facility in Delta showed just how much potential BC companies have by leading the way on our path to a clean and secure energy future. Their made-in-BC technology is helping build a more sustainable battery supply chain right here at home.

Cedar LNG is the largest Indigenous majority-owned LNG project in North America. Powered by BC electricity, it will be the cleanest and lowest-carbon LNG in the world.   This means more jobs that support families, long-term prosperity for the North. (1/2)

When completed the Haisla Nation Cedar LNG project will be one of the lowest emission plants in the world. Powering this major export project with clean electricity ensures that BC has the competitive edge when it comes to selling our product to Asian markets.

What’s happening in Gaza is profoundly heartbreaking. It is unconscionable to deny aid to starving families. I thank @MarkJCarney for adding our voice to the international call for a two-state solution. We support Canada’s efforts to get aid flowing and a lasting peace.

We’re working hard to build infrastructure that makes peoples lives better and improve our communities. The Conservatives want to cancel major projects that people need, including ones that are almost done! We can’t afford BC Conservative cuts.

Premiers came together to carve a path forward as we face unprecedented attacks from the Trump Administration. For BC, that includes trade agreements with Ontario, Manitoba and Yukon to grow our economy. Together, we’re building a stronger future.

From forestry workers here in BC to small business owners in Washington State, Trump’s actions are hurting workers and families on both sides of the border.  Thank you, Senator @murray.senate.gov, for joining me today in standing against these tariff threats. We’re better when we work together.

Concerned to hear of an emergency at the Red Chris Mine where three miners are trapped. We have dispatched a senior geotechnical inspector to support the company's efforts. Our thoughts are with the workers, their families and those involved in rescue efforts.

BC and Manitoba are knocking down trade barriers so our goods can flow back and forth with ease, while ensuring our workers are protected.   (1/2)

Canadians are positive people. We’ve always been good neighbours, but we know how to stand up against threats to our sovereignty, our economy and our jobs.

British Columbia has reached a trade agreement with Ontario. This will make it easier for people to work in both provinces, provide producers easier access to markets, while giving consumers more choice.

No matter what Trump’s ambassador says, Canadians aren’t “mean and nasty” for choosing to buy Canadian and travel locally. We’re taking a stand against Trump’s threats to our sovereignty and standing on our own two feet. Let's hold the line.
