A last-minute ceasefire doesn’t erase President Trump’s reckless decisions that got us here. Congress must immediately return to DC to pass the War Powers Resolution and remove the President from office.

Deeply relieved that the bombs will stop—for now. But threatening the destruction of an entire civilization has repercussions. Republicans must call Congress back NOW, pass a war powers resolution, & stop this unauthorized war. And Trump must be removed from office immediately.

We have gotten to a temporary ceasefire, but Trump's calls for genocide and war crimes show he is completely unhinged. The cabinet must invoke the 25th amendment to remove him - and then we need to remove the entire pro-war apparatus in Washington that got us to this point in the first place.

I feel sick to my stomach waiting around to see what atrocity Trump has in mind for the people of Iran this evening. It's hard to fathom our other elected leaders aren't able to check him in any meaningful way. It's an indictment not just of voters but of our whole system. We're ruled by a mad king.

The White House is proposing firing 9,400 TSA agents. Trump's budget proposal aims to cut $1.5 billion from TSA, and remove over 15% of the agency's workers. This is separate from the ongoing DHS shutdown, and critics warn that the long-term Republican plan is to privatize TSA.

Calling for the erasure of a civilization is dangerous and unhinged coming from any leader, let alone an American President. It is not a tactic. It is not a joke. America is not at war with the Iranian people. (1/2)
