Played #Rematch for the first time for a couple of hours last night. This is so much fun. Mind you, I'm not brilliant AT it. lol

Started a rewatch of Firefly/Serenity when I got a bad case of covid about a month ago. Badly needed some comfort viewing & hadn't rewatched in about 10 years. Can confirm it's still fucking brilliant and has one of the best character ensembles ever. The ending of Serenity still chokes me up.

The perks of being sick and housebound for 4 days. Enjoyed my time with the new #Doom. Very DIFFERENT Doom but I liked it a lot. It didn't really start to click until about halfway though, though, and the story is total nonsense, thank god it can be entirely skipped.

Mario & Luigi Brothership. Enjoying it a lot, but MY GOD, Nintendo should have waited for Switch 2 to release this. A very choppy 30fps and I haven't experienced this much loading going in and out of battles since the PS1 days. It's still a great game, but needs better hardware.

Baked biscuits for the first time in my life, for the Bake-Off finale the other night. They were supposed to be choc-chip & hazelnut cookies, but came out as these kinda ginger-snap biscuit type things. Way too hard, on the verge of being burnt. They were edible and nobody died. Good first try. 👍

Bunch of us, mostly in our late 30's/early 40's, play soccer every Wednesday. Occasionally, when we can't make up the numbers, we ask other groups if there's someone that could fill in. Often, a few lads 20 years our junior will play and proceed to run rings around us. Getting old sucks :/

Finished the #SilentHill2 remake and even though it's about 5 hours too long and there's way too much combat, it's still probably in my top 3 games of the year. Bloober Team did such an outstanding job. Hope they tackle 1 or 3 or both, next.

Really enjoying the #SilentHill2 remake. 11 hours in and I've just finished the prison. My biggest gripe is how prolonged everything is compared to the original. I appreciate a LOT of the new additions (especially the puzzles) but I really didn't need to spend 5 hours in that godforsaken hospital.

Weekend home alone. Think some essential comfort viewing is required. #Firefly #Serenity
