Today I want to tell you a story about a little game I played early on in my time on Riftbound—a game called “Monch or Gromp?” (Thread)

MY RIFTBOUND CARD REVEAL ! 14y ago I had a LoL smurf account just for Lee Sin. One of my fav champs. I even got good at ward hopping to help aim the ult. Cards w accelerate tend to be good. If you can find payoffs from the 2nd ability, the card is awesome ! #RiftboundReveals

Back again with another #Riftbound card reveal, straight from the bear's paws to your eyes: Sky Splitter! When we were architecting the set for Origins, we knew we wanted a rune-ramp deck. Big Stuff is, after all, Very Cool. But Big Units are often hard to make good, so how do we support that plan?

Technically she could die in theory! We just never saw it happen...

My second and final Riftbound preview card is Eager Apprentice! This card's flavor text is a perfect encapsulation of me trying to pilot my Kai'Sa spells deck. Also, this card is quite good in a Kai'Sa spells deck! (Maybe it's a coincidence... maybe it's narrative design)

Early in working on Stun as a mechanic for Riftbound we found it to be really interesting as a combat trick. It was a lot like a localized "Fog" effect- it could stop an Enemy Unit from dealing Damage, really tilting complex fights in your favor.

Hey, I get to finally talk about a card from #Riftbound Origins and... it's Garbage! But like, in a good way. Garbage Grabber is an odd card since it isn't tightly tied to any Legend. Origins has cards that aren't shy about which deck they belong in - but we also want some puzzles for you to solve!

For my first Riftbound Origins preview card, a little rules talk! Although my main job on the team is narrative, I have TCG editing experience as well, so I've been moonlighting as an editor. There's no blocking in our game, but we do have Block, a combat trick.

When it comes to the alt art cards, on average, there are more than 2 special alt art cards appearing in every box, instead of once per case. (4/6)

When it comes to booster packs, there are actually 2 foil Rares or better, 1 foil of any rarity, and 1 token slot in each deck. The previous information was ambiguous and just said 3 foils, so we wanted to give more specifics there. (3/6)
