What a beautiful way to bring in the end of the year. New comic book day arrives on NYE! Here’s my last haul for 2025. Something about new comics to bring in the new year brings an ear to ear smile to my face. My Ultimates Endgame gacha came with a Skottie Young cover in color!!

Doing a reread of Immortal Hulk and it still is by far some of the best Hulk stories IMO. Not only is the writing solid but turning up the horror meter makes for some gruesome art.

What a killer last show at The Chain Reaction. CheriDomingo, Militarie Gun, and Movements killed it. Also was hilarious to watch folks get a quick game of commander in before the show 😂 It was truly an amazing experience to catch one final show at this iconic venue.

Man, I just can’t get over how good this artwork is. The pure rage in the eyes is hauntingly cool. The card is also gonna be a fun one to play with.

Yeah, this set is gonna need to go straight into my veins. Alex Ross art is so damn good and I’m happy to see it in Magic. The comic book covers are so damn peak. Happy to see their return. Not only that, getting comic book Thunderbolts is hitting.

Doctor Strange #1 is absurdly good!! The costume redesign looks so damn bad ass. Loving the pauldron & branch of Yggdrasil as a staff as well. Art is top notch with sweet spell casting. Top it all off with a villain who draws power from missed opportunities? Great start to a new era of Strange 👀👀

Loved visiting Sumida Aquarium. I rounded out the day by going to TokyoMTG and picked up so many awesome foreign cards. They had a nice mix of languages so I swooped German and Japanese. Was also able to add 3 more foil cards needed to my Onslaught collection.

Looking at the Monster Hunter cards & buying lairs in general, the art holds more value to me and it delivers on that front. There’s a lot to like with the monsters. It’s the best part of the drop. I think most of the choices are pretty damn awesome.

So many sweet pick ups from Hareruya last night!! I picked up the Carnage promo I wanted. I also picked up a lot of Japanese cards for my Standard deck along with a few other sweet cards for the collection.

Got to swing by the Monster Hunter cafe today. The experience was hilarious as I got to eat monster themed dishes. Really liked the Nu Udra Noodles. There was also a collab with Final Fantasy so I got the Moogle drink.
