My body was being held hostage by a man I didn't know or have any desire to be with, because men wanting children is more important than our health! That's how medicine sees women. They only take us seriously when a man is involved.

Medical misogyny is real! When I wanted to remove periods and kids from my life equation because periods kicked my ass, I had to go through three surgeons. One had the balls to say "you might be gay now, but later you might not be and your future husband may want kids".

If we could reach the current goal, we could at least pay some heavily overdue taxes. Anything you can spare would help, but I'm grateful for even a repost.
