I envy people who are in vague hand wavey time with little to do - 95% of my adult working life has been in industries where the end of the year is a massive deadline where we work and work and work to get as much done by dec 31st 5 pm. Including now.

I think my currently reading pile is about 30. (I like to read 5-10 pages a day of 4 books and I rotate through them based on a strict system of subject matter and hard vs soft cover that once I've set up i will not deviate from. Like every normal person does.)
