Biggest surprise at Barrow GP this morning was a flyover Yellow Wagtail (E). Also a Cattle Egret in an adjacent cow field, Marsh Harrier, Peregrine, 2 Great White Egrets and 50+ House Martins

A scattering of waders at Carsington included Greenshank, 2 Ruff, 4+ Common Sandpipers, Green Sandpiper. 2 Terns (Probably Common), several Yellow legged Gulls, Caspian Gull (ad) 4 Pintail, Red-crested Pochard 1, Shoveler 5. I didn't see it but also Blk-tailed Godwit present.

Nice views of the 2 Glossy Ibis at Carsington this evening. Stood there and there were loads of Little Egrets, a Great Egret, and 2 Glossy Ibis... If you had said to me 30 years ago I'd see all these together in Derbyshire I would have not believed you #Derbyshirebirding

We had a few hours at Carsington Water today searching out the Osprey. Final spot was Sheepwash Hide. Had 45 minutes to enjoy many flybys, albeit at a distance, including one attempt to catch a fish. It failed. But we all went home very happy.
