Absolute scenes in my south Derbyshire garden early this morning. Went out around 02.30 to check both traps. Nothing spectacular, but lurking on the wall was this beast. I had to run and get a big pot, hoping it didn't do a bunk. Luckily, it didn't. My first Clifden Nonepareil #teammoth

A mild night on the way particularly in S/SW Britain. A warm air mass (with Saharan dust) attempts to move N from Iberia but hits the stiff E/ENE winds through the Channel. Any new influx more likely in the SW. Otherwise mild temps should rouse migrants from last influx to disperse further #teammoth
