i think one thing people have a hard time grasping is that the central figures of the trump administration are not bad as in "the worst republican blowhard you know," but bad as in "the worst people you have ever heard of." donald trump is a serial rapist whose best friend was a pedophile.

The message I'm getting lately (from the universe) is to be grateful for everything. That includes recycling that spills over, loud noises in the street, everything. I'm either making space for the flow of life or resisting it. And just one of those paths leads to an open heart.

The New Aeon was to supersede the old; my special job was to preserve the Sacred Tradition, so that a new Renaissance might in due season rekindle the hidden Light, I was accordingly to make a Quintessence of the Ancient Wisdom, and publish it in as permanent a form as possible.

Republicans only want what they think they want until they actually get it. Then they find out that what they want sucks. They are a natural minority party, best at complaining, sabotaging the country. When they actually gain power it's always a disaster for them. And America.

this is absolutely wild the court *sua sponte* dismisses the case for violating Rule 8(a) so that means the court, all on its own, looked at the complaint and said it's too long, too scattershot, too arbitrary to even count as a complaint. *never* seen this happen to a private party with counsel.

SWE agent that’s just a guy in your computer checking off TODOs: nice, familiar 100 shared-history agents that fission and fusion to coevolve with your git branches and treat access to your dev server as a currency to barter with each other: weird, off-putting

This is a massive, history making abuse of your power. It will define your legacy and one day you will come to regret punishing free speech and trying to destroy democracy.

A free and democratic society cannot silence comedians because the President doesn’t like what they say. This is an attack on free speech and cannot be allowed to stand. All elected officials need to speak up and push back on this undemocratic act.

Since Science emerged from Magic, it seems like every generation imagines Magic with metaphors drawn from the science or technology their culture is most excited about. You hear people today talking about "receiving downloads", the mind as a computer, spells as a way of reprogramming reality.

an element of aristocracy must be introduced into our life. of course i do not mean the aristocracy of birth or of the purse,or even the aristocracy of intellect. i mean the aristocracy of character, of will, of mind. that only can free us

steps: - put plenty of oil in a super hot pan - crack egg into pan and immediately salt - baste the whites with the hot oil until the edges are crispy - enjoy over rice, soup, salad or a sandwich if you're nasty

Just a reminder: they were never actually against cancel culture. They were against the cancellation of people they agree with or like. They’ve always been enthusiastically in favor cancelling people they don’t like. If you took them at their word you’re a useful idiot.
