If you use @boostblue.bsky.social, you already have this choice (Just FYI for people who want grid or carousel for images more than 4: settings - scroll down to post appearance )

Preview of a gallery feed in @boostblue.bsky.social : When enabled, Feeds will detect if their content overwhelmingly contains images, and if so show an Instagram style UI.

v3.12.5 is live - with the option to choose between a grid or carousel for image display. Carousel is used as a fallback for posts with more than 4 images.

Keep voting because more feedback is always valuable, but based on the strong early preference for no carousel: I'm making the prior image grid UI the default, with carousel an option you can enable in settings. For posts with more than 4 images, carousel will be the fallback.

I just published v3.12.2, which adds a carousel to Boost Blue! I want to do some more UI polish here, especially for image sizing and fill style, but I rushed to get this out to support 4+ images which they ended up not releasing 😉

Same for Deletem. I think there’s a wider issue happening on the BlueSky side. When I test against other hosted PDS the auth works.

v3.11.11 adds better handling for these issues. If then sync cache fails to load you’ll now be let into the app (instead of directed to auth), with an error banner that will let you reset said cache. There’s also a reset cache button in Settings, which can help if data isn’t syncing for you.

Bluesky seems to be issues with authentication. These haven’t affected Boost Blue for me, but it’s possible that they do. Please let me know if you run into auth issues with the app.

Hey all, Several users have reported the app getting stuck on the initial logo screen, or repeated timeout messages. I'm trying to resolve the issue, but in the mean time deleting and reinstalling the app has worked for those that have reported it. I'm trying to get a real fix as soon as I can.

I’ve been collaborating on this project with @erncoder.bsky.social (who loves decentralization, but not social media). We started this project because I wanted a streamlined way to contribute to those who make Bluesky valuable to me. I'm hoping others do too!

I've round a few bugs with the Liquid Glass release so I've had to delay it a few times on iOS. It's submitted for review again! The good news here is the next release is going to be huge, since a bunch of other changes are stacking up behind this.
