The WBC is supposed to showcase the sport across international audiences to attract a wider fanbase, experience some lighthearted joy and allow us to see a different side of these professional players. Team USA is sure as hell showing us a different side alright.

Treating myself to a rare Thursday after 9 glass of wine on account of a frustrating and fruitless hour on the phone with 1…2…3 (!) Bell customer service reps trying to solve the mystery of my missing TV package that worked perfectly fine last weekend.

So MLB At Bat, my go-to for listening to Yankees games (because I am obviously out of market), rebranded to MLB+, added MLB Network to the package which I can’t access because I live in Canada, and doubled in price. Great job building that global fan base, MLB.
