If the Yankees have a big move up their sleeves and/or Imai is actually as shaky as they (and other teams, FWIW) seem to think, then bully for them. But pitchers & catchers report in 6 weeks. Tick-tock, tick-tock.

Memo: Please don't freak out about a 16-year-old deciding to sign with the Mets instead of the Yankees in January. This is the result of the Yankees moving on from their previous international scouting director, who had been producing very little for several years. Also, again, the kid is 16! Relax.

In my opinion Soto should realize he has no lineup around him and a questionable pitching staff and should demand a trade to the New York Yankees (America's team) (27 rings)

MLB Draft Lottery is afoot. Yankees arenât in it anyway since they made the playoffs but I believe they will pick 35th in 2026 regardless. (They would be 25th based on when they were eliminated but move back 10 spots due to luxury tax penalties.)

On the one hand: the Yankees need bullpen help and Edwin DĂaz is one of the best in the game. that's gotta be addressed. On the other: boy am I uninterested in enduring the ninth-inning terror of The Edwin DĂaz Experience.

Roberto Alomar, Carmelo MartĂnez, Edgar MartĂnez, Rey SĂĄnchez, RubĂ©n Sierra, Carlos Baerga, Bernie Williams, Juan GonzĂĄlez, and Carlos Delgado. All in the same 1995 winter ball lineup. Good lord. The team hit .346/.426/.533 and dominated the 1995 Caribbean Series.

It is possible to simultaneously think that Devin Williams will have a better 2026 while also acknowledging that no, his shaky 2025 was not simply the result of a bad April. Remember when he got the closer's job back and then bombed it AGAIN? I wish I could forget!
