re: the new bsky guidelines— i’m squeamish about sexual assault in media. i avoid shows that feature a lot of it. i think GoT, for example, overused it in a sexist way to torture female characters which later on was at best creepy when young actresses were asked to be nude again & again on screen.

I make funnybooks for kids, and I find these guidelines so condescending and utterly useless. They’ve let the people who confuse discomfort with harm hijack their best practices.

Sharing this entirely for other people who don’t want to get tricked into witnessing a close-up shooting. This is the first frame of the extremely close-up version that I saw spliced into a now-deleted cat photo. If you see this, get the fuck out, you’re about to witness death.
