This is the essence of the story, not how these tariffs epitomize Trump’s “appetite for risk,” which is currently the lead story in The NY Times. I haven’t seen anything approaching this level of straightforward honesty in the Times or WAPO, thus far.

The 1% evade $163B in taxes per year. Tesla paid $0 in federal income taxes from 2018 - 2022 & 2024. Billionaires can write off the cost of their private jets and yachts. While undocumented immigrants paid $96B in taxes in 2022. The more you look into it, the crazier it gets.
