That’s right. The arc of the performance had to start there. Everyone of us with PR blood understood that, and so did most of Latin America.

We Puerto Ricans know the Indigenous people are also inside of us, too. The idea they were completely “erased” is a white lie as well. Most people with island blood have indigenous, African an European DNA.

It was about spectacle and, it also told stories; I thought that it was best halftime show that I could remember.

While I read the comments much of this was lost on many of us as the lyrics should have been translated with commentary on the symbolism... As of now Trump and his MAGA troglodytes are content with making a mockery of this performance... and continuing to fan the flames of xenophobia...
