Two different things I believe: 1. MtG is cool because it is non-deterministic and has this ever-shifting card pool. 2. Wouldn't it be cool if MtG froze the card pool of modern for a couple hundred years - just long enough to have treatises written about specific play patterns (Finkel Gambit, etc)
