From today, 111 jobs will no longer qualify for Skilled Worker visas, but a sizable number will still be able to recruit migrants. In fact, of the 26,900 people who were granted a Skilled Worker visa between October and March, 76% were for jobs that will remain eligible.

New HMRC data show a sharp rise in the number of employee jobs held by non-EU nationals since the post-Brexit system was introduced. From January 2020 to December 2024, the number of UK jobs held by Indian nationals grew by 565k. Nigerian nationals held 340k more jobs.
