This nasty little ploy has backfired spectacularly. Kimmel appears to have been energized into speaking out more vigorously - radicalized, as a commenter put it - and this abject, public failure means it'll be a lot more difficult for That Man to try again to get Kimmel canned.

It's essential that Jimmy Kimmel mocked Trump's censorship efforts during his return last night. This sends the message that the more powerful cultural and societal backlash is against Trump and MAGA, not the other way around. (More below.)
