Any games contract that does not have a clear mechanism to return the game rights to the designer, and that does not give the designer meaningful input (and in some cases veto power) over art & development decisions, is an act of gross malfeasance. These should be standard.

Some new games on the shelf. One, I've been interested in for a long time and happy about the reprint, and one that simply attracted me by its beauty.

Nice gaming afternoon, where I finally got to play "Maria", followed by "Pax Pamir". "Maria" is definitely a game with a steep learning curve and where you for sure have to be cautious and have the board state in focus. Pamir again was a delight. My most played game.

The danger of not mentioning particular organizers or movements that led CGE to their decision risks propagating the idea that CGE decided to do this on their own, out of the kindness of their hearts—which they did not. It required loud, organized pressure for them to make the decision they have!

Das die deutschsprachige Version von Kartini, die aktuell noch für ein paar Stunden in der Spieleschmiede läuft, nicht sein funding goal erreichen wird, ist eine Schande. Das dieses Spiel überhaupt ins Crowdfunding geht, anstatt einfach veröffentlicht zu werden, ist noch die viel größere Schande.

Tried a new strategy in 18MS and I won for the first time! 🥳

Played Cuba Libre by @gmtgames.bsky.social again. First time as the Syndicate and took home a narrow win as I hit exactly my VP threshold. Both July26 and the Government came in second with just 1 point away from their threshold. Directario was in the lead till the last 2 event cards. Tight finish.
