Orga-Crew started with a game of "Perch". What comes across as a cute little game is in reality a very mean and nasty area control game with a very old school feel. If it had a different theme this would be a no brainer. But still that was a very fun one.

Today the game event called "Alpenzock" that I organize twice a year here in the lovely Austrian Alps for a couple of years starts. Honestly some of the best days of a year fore. People from all over Germany, Austria ans Switzerland will gather on a mountain but for a few days of gaming and hiking.

Mainstream design is often gated by publishers who for the most part only see "games as art" as a marketing tactic & are for the most part terrified of a game actually saying something or being "political", and will actively undermine a design to prevent that

Does anyone know any other story games like "A bridge too far" or "War Story: Occupied France"?

Just watched @pushingcardboard.bsky.social unboxing of @gmtgames.bsky.social Cuius Regio, by @fgradaille.bsky.social. Till now I somehow thought this would come with a mounted map. Seems like it doesn't. Wondering if a mounted map will be available as an extra in the future... 🤔

Barrage by @feuerlandspiele.bsky.social again! For the first time on the Colorado Connection map and I really liked it. Doesn't change the rules too much, but gives some interesting options,while still staying tight. Still not the biggest fan of the Leeghwater expansion though.

Horseless Carriage by Splotter Spellen is a game I really enjoy. Usually I'm not the biggest puzzle fan, but here...oh boy! The puzzling makes my brain melt in the best possible way. 🫠

Too many boardgames, too little time. Again I think about to reduce my collection to the bare minimum. So many games unplayed or not played often enough. Also I think I need to be more selective on new purchases. Really need to figure out a healthy relationship to this hobby.

"Wasserkraft" von @feuerlandspiele.bsky.social ist und bleibt mein liebstes Eurogame. Es ist mangelig, mega tight, höchst interaktiv und man kann auch Mal den Assi raushängen lassen. Das Game checkt echt alle Boxen. ✔️✔️✔️
