Yesterday we were pleased to meet with Minister for Public Health and Prevention, @ashleydaltonmp.bsky.social and @steveyemm-mp.bsky.social to discuss our work on clinical trials and the parliamentary roundtable we hosted in April. (1/4).

Today we hosted local MP, @shockatadam.bsky.social, to our Leicester Royal Infirmary unit. The visit kicked off with a tour of our unit by Lead Nurse, Jamie Lawson, seeing the specialist facilities available and discussing his role. (1/5).

On Wednesday, Teenage Cancer Trust attended @cancer52org.bsky.social “The Big Conversation”. The event brought together charity partners to discuss how to improve patient outcomes for those with rare and less common cancers. (1/5).

Yesterday was a powerful day. Young people, MPs and our founders joined us at Westminster as we handed the Department of Health and Social Care our open letter calling for young people’s voices to be included in the National Cancer Plan.

Yesterday Audit Wales published its report on cancer services in Wales. The report found that the Cancer Improvement Plan for Wales currently lacks detail on services for children and young people & that there is a lack of adequate data to inform improvements for this age group.

It was welcome to hear action on the NHS so prominent in the Plan for Change launch this morning. Every day, seven young people are diagnosed with cancer.
