I may be one voice in Parliament. But every time I rise to speak, I carry the voices of thousands across Leicester with me. That is the greatest privilege of serving as your MP.

Schools and families are left picking up the pieces of a failing system. This was a £180 million Government contract that has delivered too many delays. Pupils will now receive results in the summer holidays, without school support when it’s needed most. I’m pressing for answers in Parliament.

Wonderful to spend time with the families involved in the Family Voices programme, making a huge difference by connecting parents with vital support services. I’ll continue to champion families in Parliament, fighting for the support they deserve.

Level of violence against our rail workers is unacceptable. My constituents work tirelessly to keep passengers safe at Leicester station but are pleading for more support. I raised this vital issue with the minister who has promised his support.

Now is the time to turn words into action. I welcome continued investment in Leicester's services, including the future vision for a new Women's and Children's Hospital at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, and I'll continue working to help deliver safer, more compassionate maternity care in Leicester.

The only high-speed part was the spending. Taxpayers forked out £103 BILLION for HS2 - and for what? Countless delays, fraud allegations and zero transparency. How can a failure this large still be without accountability?

The housing crisis will not just be solved in Westminster. It needs our colleges and training centres. If we are serious about building 1.5 million homes and delivering the infrastructure Britain needs, we must fund further education colleges and invest in the next generation of skilled workers.
