After extensive discussions with residents on the safety of New Walk, I am proud to say that new enforcements are underway. Lighting updates, CCTV and public space protection officers are set to be put in place, direct results of residents showing up and having their say on their community.

Massive thanks to the Centre for Media Monitoring for allowing me to chair the panel at the launch of their latest report. This evidence is a reminder of the impact irresponsible reporting can have on community cohesion and public trust, which can lead to devastating real-life consequences.

Let me be clear: ILR changes should never punish the hard workers who want to call Britain home and leave them open to exploitation. They are the backbone of our NHS and every essential service we rely on. Why is our Government turning its back on those who keep our society running?

Hate and division is a shortcut for those with no real answers. It wonât build a better future. Britainâs strength has always been its people: our unity & our refusal to turn on one another. Thatâs what puts the great in Great Britain. And that spirit is the strongest engine for lasting change.

Data is the new oil. And itâs slipping into dangerous hands. Palantir, the $400B tech giant behind surveillance in the illegal occupation of Palestine and US racial profiling, is now creeping into our public services. Our NHS is for saving lives, not for feeding their profit machine.

My cross-party letter to the FCDO is clear: reopen Al Aqsa immediately. No faith should ever be denied access to its most sacred places. How many more lines must Israel cross before our government acts?

Appalled to hear about this disgusting attack. Anti-Semitism is an evil that has no place in any society. We must confront and dismantle all forms of racism wherever it takes root.

When classrooms become graves, it shows how cheap childrenâs lives are to war-mongers. Ministers dismissing it as a âreality of warâ is an insult to every child buried beneath the rubble.

Pharmacies are the front door of our NHS, caring for communities every single day. Yet many are facing rising pressures and shrinking support. I'll be taking our conversation straight back to Westminster to advocate for every pharmacy, every job and every patient who relies on them.

Over 12,000 people work in Leicester's thriving hospitality scene. We musn't let sky-high business rates crush ambition and force doors to close. Iâm pressing the Government to act now: cut business rates and back the local businesses that make our high streets thrive.

Wonderful supporting the new Highfields Street Foodbank! So grateful for the volunteers and donors who make it possible. Community support matters, but the bigger challenge is clear: tackling the root causes of poverty and inequality. That's my priority in Parliament.

This is what community power looks like! Thanks to the passion of local campaigners, ÂŁ2 million funding has been secured. We'll continue working hard to ensure our playgrounds get long-term stability so they can not just survive, but truly thrive.

The old two-party comfort zone is over. Voters are done with political cowardice & moral compromise. We are not protest candidates. We are the future of accountable, community-rooted politics.

Labour promised integrity. But ÂŁ730,000 now sits undeclared and ÂŁ36,000 goes on smearing journalists. The moral high ground came with an expiration date: the day they entered No.10 The country deserves better than recycled hypocrisy.

It was humbling to join volunteers at One Roof in setting up the Winter Shelter: offering Leicester's homeless a safe bed, a hot meal & a second chance. Charities are stepping up. The government must step up too. Fund prevention. Fund housing. And work to end rough sleeping for good.

Multi million pound contracts are repeatedly awarded to Serco, who are failing our judicial system with delayed prisoner transportation. I asked the Minister plainly: why? Their answer was to open more bus lanes. Hardly reassuring.

We donât want ICE in the UK. Leicesterâs policing data is not Palantirâs to harvest. These are our communities. Our families. Our lives. Not commodities. The public has a right to know who is watching. And why.

Khaleed Oladipo was more than a name in a headline. He was a son, a friend & a future full of promise. His life was cruelly cut short and a family now carries unimaginable pain. Our sympathy must be matched with decisive action that delivers real prevention & change to tackle knife crime.
