The dog had a playful moment with a neighbor dog and had a nice little mutual nose-sniff moment with one of the cats, today. I think moving to a new place, recently, has been good for everyone.

1. Nearly every transgender person walks this earth knowing people like us who are no longer with us. In writing about transgender people every day, I hold in my heart the people who are now our ancestors, and I try to bring their light forward. These are the people I'm remembering today.

Trans people have been there for me in ways most cis people have not. When I got my hysterectomy I tried joining a support group and was told I couldn’t use the word lesbian. I tried asking about hormones to women who’d gone through menopause and the response was just annoyance…

Here’s why I think the blow up costumes work: The fascist rhetoric is that the protests are “I hate America” rallies filled with “terrorists” that will “cheer for chaos instead of country” and impossible to hide images of joy and togetherness and generally being silly decimates their propaganda.

This dog cannot sit from a down and it’s the funniest thing. She has to like walk away and come back. I’ve heard of this but never seen it in practice and I feel almost bad. She just cannot grasp the concept of sitting up.
