There's a lot to be said about identity, solidarity. But a simple place to start: the people who are willing to fight for their neighbors when their neighbors have different problems have a very, very good chance of having neighbors to fight with when you all share problems

So I fell off the face of the earth, have hit a hard phase of writers block/imposter syndrome over my book and just realized I lose steam so rapidly without encouragement. All of my best writing happened on Reddit where I could slam out a 3k word story in a few hours and get instant feedback
